More than 40 traders from around County Clare participated in the third annual Market Bonanza in Clarecastle on Sunday (20 November).
There was a strong Christmas theme to this year’s event, which raised funds for Clarecastle National School (N.S.). In previous years, the event has raised funds toward the expansion of the school library and the introduction of a new rating scheme to help further enhance literacy levels among students.
The aim of this annual event is two-pronged”, explained Marie-Claire Gorman, Secretary of the Clarecastle N.S. Parents Association. “The Market Bonanza facilitates Clare businesses by providing a platform for them to promote their products to a local audience. Many of the traders also participated in 2009 and 2010, and found the event to be extremely beneficial to their respective businesses.”
“Funds raised on the day will go help with the continued development of Clarecastle N.S. The Parents Association is committed to playing its part in further improving the already excellent facilities in place at the school.”
