Tulla Comhaltas Triumphs At Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann

Tulla Comhaltas had a very successful weekend in Cavan at the  all-ireland fleadh.

The Tulla junior ceili band won the under 15 ceili  band competition keeping up the great tradition of the Tulla ceili band. The band members are Sinead Mulqueen (Piano), Aisling Lyons  (Drums), Brian Donnellan (Concertina), Aisling Hunt (Accordian), Iomar  Kearney, Lisa Walsh, Eimear Donnellan (Flutes), Sorcha Costello,  Sorcha Crimmins, Tim O'Connor (Fiddles).

Aisling Lyons won the under 15 Harp. Eimear Coughaln came 2nd in the  accompainment under 15. Other members of Tulla Comhaltas having  success was Elaine Mulqueen and Aislinn Hehir.

These will be playing during the Tulla trad festival which is on  over the weekend of September 10th-12th. The places are for the workshops are starting to fill up now with Ged foley doing the fiddle class, Seamus Tansey on flute, Rory McMahon on the Concertina,Nora Butler in charge of the Traditional Singing, Aidan Vaughan doing Steps for sets and Susanne Leahy in charge of the Sean Nos  Dancing workshop.
