Shannon Airport And Clare FM Tune Up For Christmas Celebration

All roads for traditional music and song interests will lead to Shannon Airport departures terminal ‘for one night only’ when a special Christmas celebration is held on Saturday night, December 3rd.
The Shannon Airport Authority has teamed up with Clare FM for the two-hour celebration.
The event which is completely booked out but will be broadcast in the run-up to Christmas on Clare FM’s traditional Irish music show 'The West Wind', will feature music, song and stories from some of the county and region's best known traditional entertainers.
Among those will be the world-famous Tulla Céilí Band; songwriter Cormac MacConnell, who penned Christmas 1914; the renowned O'Brien Vaughan School of Music; Shannon Parish Folk Group Choir and a special tribute to Tulla Pipe Band, which this year celebrates its 75th anniversary.
