The award winning Ennis Players drama group take centre stage at this year’s Kerry Drama Festival, which got underway on Friday last.
The Clare group will be joined by theatre companies from throughout Ireland over the coming week at the Leaf Arts Centre in Castleisland.
The Players will present John Millington Synge’s The Playboy of the Western World tonight. The groupperformed the play at Glor Irish Music Centre in Ennis two weeks ago.
Among the other groups performing at this year’s festival is The Shoestring Theatre Company, Garrymore Drama Group, Schull Drama Group, Conna Dramatic Society, Palace Players, Bangor Drama Club and Ardagh Drama Group.
