The Minister of Defence, Mr. Tony Killeen, T.D., will officially open the Kemmy Business School (KBS) at the University of Limerick on Friday, November 5th.
The School, named after the late Jim Kemmy, former Mayor of Limerick received a €5m'gift' in 2003. This has been used to contribute to the building of a new state-of-the-art business and management education facility incorporating a unique simulated Trading Floor that is globally connected through a Thomson-Reuters licence.
To mark the occasion a KBS Distinguished Lecture is to be delivered by Mr Peter Sutherland, S.C., who will speak on "Ireland's Economic Condition". "Mr Sutherland has been a forthright commentator on Ireland's economic fortunes in recent times and his lecture should be of significant interest in these turbulent times," said Professor Donal Dineen, Dean, KBS.
The lecture is free of charge, and open to the public and will take place at 4pm on Friday 5th November at the University of Limerick.
