Fisher-Price has announced a product safety alert on up to 800 baby high chairs sold in major retailers across the Republic of Ireland from September 2001 to September 2010.
The company says the high chairs are being recalled because children can fall on or against the tray storage pegs on the rear legs of the high chair, resulting in injury.
The products in question are:
* The Basic Healthy Care High Chair Cow + Moon
* Flutterby Dream High Chairs
* Aquarium Healthy Care High Chair
* Link Deluxe Healthy Care High Chair
Consumers can determine whether or not their high chair is affected by locating the model number on the back of the seat and checking the website.
What to do
Consumers should stop using the high chairs immediately and contact Fisher-Price by visiting www.service.mattel.com/uk/ or calling 0044 1628 500 303 to arrange for instructions and a free repair kit.
Meanwhile, Fisher-Price has announced a product safety alert regarding a number of infant products with inflatable balls.
These were sold in all major retailers from July 2001 to July 2008. The number of products affected in Ireland is approximately 1,390.
Affected products include:
* Baby Playzone Crawl & Cruise Playground
* Baby Playzone Crawl & Slide Arcade
* Baby Gymtastics Play Wall
* Ocean Wonders Kick & Crawl Aquarium
* Bop and Bounce Ball
* Bat & Score Goal
Select Fisher-Price infant toys with inflatable balls are being recalled because the valve of the inflatable ball can come off, posing a choking hazard.
What to do
Consumers should stop using the toys immediately and contact Fisher-Price by visiting www.service.mattel.com/uk/ or calling 0044 1628 500 303 to arrange for instructions and a free repair kit.
3. Little People Rampway
These products were sold by retailers nationwide from April 2010 to September 2010. The number of products in Ireland is approximately 936.
The purple and green cars marked "Mexico" and without a yellow dot on the bottom, in the Wheelies Stand 'n' Play Rampway are being recalled because the wheels can come off, releasing small parts that may pose a choking hazard to young children.
What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the purple and green vehicles marked "Mexico" without a yellow dot on the bottom and contact Fisher-Price to arrange for free replacement vehicles.
In the meantime, other Wheelies vehicles may be used with the Rampway.
