Lexus Ireland has annoucned it is recalling a number of models, affecting almost 1300 vehicles in Ireland.
MODELS RECALLED:
GS300 and IS220d - manufactured from 17 September 2004 to 28 February 2006
RX300 and RX330 - manufactured from 10 February 2003 to 18 February 2006
A slow leak of brake fluid may occur from the Brake Master Cylinder Cup, resulting in the illumination of the brake warning lamp. Over time braking performance could be diminished.
This recall affects 938 vehicles in Ireland.
Lexus Ireland is also recalling the Lexus GS300 model, manufactured between 28 September 2004 and 28 February 2006, due to an issue with the fuel pump internal wire harness in the fuel tank.
When used for a long time, the connector terminal may become worn and result in conduction failure, causing the engine to stall during driving or making engine restart impossible.
This recall affects 347 vehicles in Ireland
What to do
Letters will be sent by Lexus Ireland to customers informing them of the recall. The letter will advise them to contact their nearest Lexus dealer who will arrange to do the required check and repair at a mutually convenient time, free of charge.
