Council Seeks Role On Airport Committee

Clare County Council’s 32 Elected Members have unanimously backed a report by the Clare County Manager calling for the Local Authority to be represented on the new Steering Group tasked with determining the most effective organisational structure for a newly independent Shannon Airport.

Clare County Council’s unaudited Annual Financial Statement for 2011 shows that the local authority ended the year with a €47k deficit on a total revenue expenditure of circa €115m, despite a €9.4M reduction in Government funding across Revenue and Capital Accounts.
