Slight Increase In Aer Lingus Passenger Numbers

Aer Lingus Group plc today reported an increase of 1.6% in total booked passenger numbers passenger traffic in October.

Aer Lingus’ booked load factor in October 2011 increased by 2.1 points on October 2010 to 78.5%. Short haul booked load factor was 81.0%, an increase of 2.0 points on October 2010, with capacity increasing by 0.8%. Long haul booked load factor was 73.1%, an increase of 2.0 points on October 2010, with capacity decreasing by 3.9%.

Aer Lingus’ total booked passenger numbers, in October 2011 were 907,000 a decrease of 0.1% compared to October 2010. Short haul booked passengers in October 2011 were in line with October 2010 at 831,000, while long haul booked passengers in October 2011 were 76,000, a 1.3% decrease on October 2010.

Aer Lingus Regional’s total booked passenger numbers in October 2011 were 69,000, an increase of 30.2% compared to October 2010.
