A unique new equestrian holiday in North Clare for people with a disability and the elderly has been announced.
Loughrea Equestrian Centre has confirmed that commencing May 2010, it will be launching a carriage trail, which is fully adapted to cater for wheelchair users, in conjunction with its regular Trail Riding Holidays.
The six-day trails are 95% off road following the old green roads of the Burren, down the Atlantic Coast of Clare, from Ballyvaughan to Liscannor beach, past the Cliffs of Moher, then through the Burren National Park with its abundance of historical monuments and unique landscape. The holiday concludes with a trail through the Slieve Aughty Mountains, following forest tracks and along lakeshores.
