UL Students Exhibit Interactive Media And Technology Works

Interactive Media & Music Technology Students at UL launched Dawn 2010 this week.

The exhibit is an end of year showcase of students' work on the Interactive Media and Music Technology Masters Programmes.

In launching the week long showcase, Course Lecturer, Mikael Fernström said "If the world's slogan for 2009 was 'Yes we can' - the slogan for our students in 2010 is 'Yes we can - make things better and smarter. The DAWN 2010 is a celebration of digital arts and features exciting applications and creations for the worlds of healthcare, musical performance, education and lifestyle."

Among the innovations on display for users included; a prototype for an interactive safe-driving system, aimed at highlighting risks and hazards when driving, a number of occupational therapy projects developed in conjunction with Milford Care Centre, an interactive light and sound wall and an the latest in intelligent fridge design.
