Doonbeg won their 18th County Senior Football Championship final today defeating Liscannor in Cusack Park by 0-11 to 0-7.
Liscannor were gunning for their first county title at senior level and went into today’s game with experience on their side having played in two other finals since 2002.
After defeating reigning champions Kilmurry Ibrickane a few weeks ago Doonbeg went into today’s game brimming with confidence. Their nine year wait for another county title came to an end thanks to a superior second half performance that saw that come from behind to seal their four point win.

Rhode are the Offaly Senior Football Champions after defeating Clara by 3-09 to 2-11 in Tullamore this evening.
Kilmacud Crokes are into the Dublin Senior Football football final after beating St Vincents by one point on a scoreline of 1-10 to 1-9.
In the Galway Senior Hurling Semi-Finals today Joe Canning scored a point seven minutes into injury time to hand Portumna a draw against Loughrea. The game finished Portumna 1-14 Loughrea 2-11. In the other semi-final Clarinbridge easily accounted for Tynagh/Abbey Duniry by 2-16 to 0-11.
Sarsfields are the Cork Senior Hurling Champions after beating Glen Rovers by 1-17 to 0-18.
Elsewhere, Ballyduff won the Kerry County Senior Hurling Championship following a 2-18 to 2-09 win over Lixnaw in Tralee today.
Naomh Moling defeated Mount Leinster Rangers by 1-12 to 0-12 to win the Carlow Senior Hurling final.
In Roscommon, Four Roads easily overcame Padraig Pearses by 5-15 to 0-11 to claim the Senior Hurling Championship.
In Laois, Rathdowney/Erill won the senior hurling final after beating Camross in Portlaoise by 2-11 to 1-09.
Meanwhile, Ballyhaunis defeated Tooreen 0-15 to 0-11 to win the Mayo Hurling final.
