Corofin Clinch Munster Junior Camogie Title
Corofin claimed the Munster Junior Camogie title today in Cashel when they defeated Waterford side Cappoquin in the final.
The north Clare girls, who won the Clare Intermediate crown this year by defeating Truagh/Clonlara in the final (2-6 to 0-4), ran out comfortable winners by 2-12 to 1-4 today.
Corofin went into today’s game as favourites with a string of quality of players including Marie Rafferty, Claire Commane, Aoife Davoren, Niamh O’Dea, Edel Keating and Muireann Kelleher in their side.
Tomorrow, Newmarket on Fergus will be hoping to make it a Clare double when they host Cork champions Mallow in the Munster Intermediate Camogie semi final. Last Saturday they won the senior title with an impressive defeat of Kilmaley.
