Munster face an arduous task to make it to the Heineken Cup final at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium in May 2011 after they were drawn in the toughest of the six Pools today.

Munster have been drawn in Pool 3against London Irish, Toulon and Magners League champions Ospreys.

Leinster are in Pool 2 with French champions Clermont, Saracens and Racing Metro while Ulster face Heineken Cup finalists Biarritz, Bath and Italian side Aironi.

A total of 24 teams will compete in next year’s compettion.  As seeded teams Munster, Toulouse, Leinster, Leicester Tigers, Biarritz Olympique and the Blues were kept apart in the draw for the six groups.

Heineken Cup draw:
Pool 1: Cardiff Blues, Northampton, Edinburgh, Castres.
Pool 2: Leinster, Clermont Auvergne, Saracens, Racing-Metro 92.
Pool 3: Munster, Ospreys, London Irish, Toulon.
Pool 4: Biarritz, Bath, Ulster, Aironi.
Pool 5: Leicester, Scarlets, Perpignan, Treviso.
Pool 6: Toulouse, London Wasps, Glasgow Warriors, Newport Gwent Dragons.
