Sixmilebridge And Clarecastle Contest U16A Replay

Sports - Rugby

An exciting game is in prospect at Cusack Park this Sunday when Sixmilebridge and Clarecastle lock horns in the U16 A hurling final replay.

In the first match both sides produced some outstanding passages of hurling in what turned out to be a 3-11 to 3-11 draw. On that day Sixmilebridge had the lead at half time and on the resumption they increased their lead thanks to two quick fire goals before Clarecastle showed great character to come back and level the game with a goal in the dying moments.

With players like Jamie Shanahan, Brian Carey, Mark Hehir, Darragh McNamara, John Mulready, Kevin Fennessy and Alex Morey (Sixmilebridge) and Gearoid Ryan, Mikey Casey, Conor Clancy, Stephen Ward, Bobby Duggan, Jack McDermott and Mark McGuane (Clarecastle) on view it promises to be a cracking game between the two standout sides in the county at this level.

Once again a puck of a ball is likely to be the difference between these two sides come the final whistle. This game will get underway at 1:30 pm and will be preceded by the senior hurling final between Cratloe and Crusheen.
